On the eve of the lockdown time to look back.

Remember Sweeden who went for herd immunity? They are still working on it
and the vaccination rolls out.

Death rates per million of population as at 21 March 2021

Sweeden 1307
USA 1667
UK 1851
Norway 119
Brazil 1360
Italy 1773

So if Sweeden did nothing, or very little then, the USA, Italy, Brazil and UK must have
worked on getting their rates up.

Fixed that for you.

Do you seriously believe that the ONLY factor that affects the death
rate per million of population is government response?
Are you Sweedish, (if there is such a thing), or do you have a swede for
a brain? If the latter, try a drink of water, as turnip being more
moist, is less dense than rutabaga and today you, Gordon, are ruminating
like a lazy vegetable. Better luck tomorrow.

It is certainly significant, Teetus. Sweden did I think take steps to
protect the elderly, but they did make a mistake regarding not going
for an early lockdown. When they realised their mistake they changed;
my impression being that they changed more quickly than most other
nations that had believed that in the interests of business, a less
severe response was appropriate. From memory the health official that
made the initial decision apologised. The Swedish people however did
seek to minimise cross infection more quickly than some other
countries - they did not have the extremist 'individual liberty'
imperatives that led to deliberate gatherings in some countries as a
reaction against calls for stricter measures. Sweden formed for
themselves a semblance of the 'Team of 5 Million' that was adopted by
our government but which saw strong support from our population, and
which led to a far better covid response here. In the USA, Trump
almost deliberately sought to reduce trust in government; the UK just
botched most of what they tried.

***@nowhere does seem to describe your position, Titus - perhaps yu
should try to be a little less undefined in your responses
