First at least an attempt to actually put forward ideas:

Then the desperation of the declining party on the way out:

In different ways, both are part of the reason their parties will be
in Opposition for a few more years.

Oh the evangelical socialist at his worst.
Wishful thinking and rhetoric but no substance.
Dear, dear what a failure.
Oh go on, indulge your nastiness and post more sarcasm. You can't help it.

Rich, voters always vote against something, not for it. So Labour has to
make sure it does all the right moves. This will/does get harder as time
goes on.
I don't know that your statement is always true, Gordon; just look at
how badly the Conservatives have done but they are still 15% better
than Labour in the polls - their FPP system and the existence of the
SNP do not help Labour, but it is I suspect a case of the 'least
worst' being supported. By nd large Labour have taken New Zealanders
with them and are trusted - that will at some stage change, but for
the opposition, ACT are getting policy proposals discussed; National
appear to bere-running 'dancing cossack' type memes andare just seen
as obstructive. ACT are also pushing themselves as being libertarian,
where they compete directly with the Green Party and to some Labour
with such leanings. Personally I don't think ACT will become the major
opposition party very quickly, but they are being seen as the most
responsible at present.

Delightful humour piece Rich. Well done for giving us all a good laugh on a miserable day :)
