Love to know what the silly little girl has done to make life better for the USA because she's done stuff all for poverty in New Zealand! Guess the awards really only for virtue signaling bullshit not for actual results in the real world. Typical airy fairy stupidity from one of Keiths institutions of higher learning whereas it's just another academic bum fuck typical of so many universities these days and most likely Keith's institute of superior education :)

Thanks I hadn't seen that article. Your comments seem to be at odds
with the article:

"The prize is given each year to “an individual or team whose
leadership in social action has improved the quality of life in the
United States and across the globe”.

A spokesperson for the prime minister said Ardern’s “normal practice
is to decline awards, but in this instance we were able to convert it
into a scholarship for a New Zealander to go to Harvard”.

Previous winners include Malala Yousafzai, Tarana Burke, Nelson
Mandela, Gloria Steinem and John Lewis.

Wendy Sherman, a professor of public leadership at the Kennedy School,
said Ardern “exemplifies principled, effective and just leadership,
exactly the kind of leadership our students aspire to uphold.

“She has wielded a steady and swift hand, an open mind, and a keen
reflection of her entire community in meeting challenges of terror,
earthquakes and now Covid-19,” Sherman said.

“The prime minister reminds all of us that strength, compassion,
science, clear communications, humility and activism go hand in hand
to create positive results.”

A media release from Harvard praised Ardern's 2050 goal of carbon
neutrality and her “compassionate resolve” after the March 15 mosque
attack in Christchurch.

Harvard also praised the Government’s Covid-19 response, noting that
New Zealand recorded “low rates of disease transmission and death
through clear, science-based mandates and responsive supports for
citizens and the medical community”.
____________

Well done to Jacinda Ardern and her government - your comments put you
in a very small minority, John Bowes.

So tell me what the dumb broad has done to improve things for the USA because those in poverty in New Zealand would love to know why she's done nothing for them! What makes you think I'm a small minority Rich? Ardern only polled just over 50% which would suggest a rather large minority didn't want her in government! :)

Many of hte political opponents of Labour and Jacinda Ardern have
acknoledged that she has shown exxcellent leadership on a range of
issues, but most particularly in relation to the response to Covid-19.

Cite needed Rich. This sounds like your typical baseless lie to defend the Marxist muppet! Hell she doesn't even understand what hard and fast means. Much like you.

Good leadership like defending a useless Health Minister she trusted so much she shipped him to Dunedin during lockdown so he could go trail biking and take the family to the beach. Then shagged around for weeks before she showed anything close to good leadership.

Her excuses over KiwiBuild, her failure to achieve anything to help child poverty or mental health! She's not a leader just another Marxist muppet with delusions of leadership. Hell she wouldn't have become PM in 2017 if it wasn't for the unions and Winston handing her the job on a plate! Besides she lies as much as you do. Typical of totalitarian despots everywhere!

When all those claims were first made the numbers of people living in
their cars here was about 3 or 4 permanent.
Now its around 10 and an encampment with a couple got cleared out by
the cops.
So far its a fail

The nub of it:

“The prime minister reminds all of us that strength, compassion, science, clear communications, humility and activism go hand in hand to create positive results.”

A media release from Harvard praised Ardern's 2050 goal of carbon neutrality and her “compassionate resolve” after the March 15 mosque attack in Christchurch.

Harvard also praised the Government’s Covid-19 response, noting that New Zealand recorded “low rates of disease transmission and death through clear, science-based mandates and responsive supports for citizens and the medical community”.

So, while New Zealand's freedom of speech and open society means you need never fear being denied the chance to make a total laughing stock of yourself at any inappropriate opportunity that comes your way, know that Harvard's award is not related specifically to poverty per se, having, rather, been bestowed in recognition of the personal resolve and leadership qualites that Harvard thinks youg American's would do well to aspire to, in this instance Ardern being identified as their exemplar and role model.

I suspect John Bowes needs to see the question and answer right next
to each other - he gets confused with anything in between. So:

Question: "Love to know what the silly little girl has done to make
life better for the USA"

Answer: She has provided the USA, and more particularly the Harvard
University who run a programme on Leadership, the best example they
can find of leadership; and they gave an example of how that
leadership has been of benefit to New Zealand. They recognised that
excellence by making an award to her, which she only agreed to accept
on the condition that the money be used to enable a New Zealander to
study at Harvard.

So, while New Zealand's freedom of speech and open society means you need never fear being denied the chance to make a total laughing stock of yourself at any inappropriate opportunity that comes your way, know that Harvard's award is not related specifically to poverty per se, having, rather, been bestowed in recognition of the personal resolve and leadership qualities that Harvard thinks young American's would do well to aspire to, in this instance Ardern being identified as their exemplar and role model.
BULLSHIT! The stupid Marxist is hell bent on 'hate laws' being implemented Keith and no matter your blind acceptance of a lying Marxist muppet she has shown beyond a shadow of doubt her leadership skills are non existence! Unlike your skills of self delusion which are only highlighted by your defence of the non defwenceable1 time you got your head out of your arse Keith!
Still waiting for a reply to my question.

ONE lucky New zealander selected no doubt by the unions. They'll come back here corrupted with an attitude like yours Keith, believing they've had a superior education from an institution that will fail them. Much as one did you Keith. It's pure virtue signalling by a useless Marxist twit! :)

Love to know what the silly little girl has done to make life better for the USA because she's done stuff all for poverty in New Zealand!
“The prime minister reminds all of us that strength, compassion, science, clear communications, humility and activism go hand in hand to create positive results.”
That is the stuff of meaningless rhetoric. "positive results" need
definition in order to allow measurement in terms of achievement or
failure. Attributes such as those mentioned above may be needed to
define those results and get widespread voter support for that
definition.
A media release from Harvard praised Ardern's 2050 goal of carbon neutrality and her “compassionate resolve” after the March 15 mosque attack in Christchurch.
The response to the mosque attacks was mostly emotional support to the
victims. Gun laws have been tightened up but we are yet to find a way
to keep those guns out of the hands of those truly determined to
acquire and use them.
All good - but watch for future hate-speech laws that limit free
speech in the name of eliminating hate speech.
