Yes, some will see it as a bit of numour, but they are the really funny ones.
The truth doesn't have to hurt. Sometimes it can (as your link proves) give
you a bit of a giggle ;)
Another good link Tony. Thank you for sharing.
Humourist-with-an-agenda, Mr Harsanyi, is a senior writer for the National Review.
The National Review was founded in 1955 by one William F Buckley Jr, a
stunningly erudite self-confessed hard-right thinker and author who, among
other such repressive conceits, supported and promoted madman Senator Joseph
McCarthy and his intellectually and culturally degenerate âun-American
activitiesâ? witch-hunting show trials during the late 1940âs and 50âs.
With McCarthy long gone, yet with his modern-day gargoyle-clone - the
smouldering Trump - still hanging around like a wet fart in a space-suit, it
seems the extraordinary moral and ethical reductionisms and apologisms for the
McCarthy period still have their fetishist adherents even today, all of 70
Like shit to a blanket.
There is some real truth in the article.
What would those be, Tony?
Why don't you read it and select anything that you believe to be wrong?
Then maybe, although not likely, you could enter the debate.
I'[ve gone on better than you asked for, Tony - I have found the
statement that everyone will of course agree is correct!.
"pooling local tax dollars to put books in a building is called local
Of course it is, and from earlier in the article we have "every penny
of the $21,206 spent in Ocasio-Cortez's district each year on each
student, rich or poor, is provided with the profits derived from
From this we can see that all taxes raised locally in New Zealand are
of course provided with the profits derived from capitalism, and as
given in the article that is again just local government; by
definitition we live in a capitalist system, so socialism does not
exist in New Zealand.
The statement that "Socialism is the leading man-made cause of death
and misery in human existence." does not however appear to be well
defined, but it clearly does not apply to a capitalist country like
New Zealand I was intrigued that the list given did not include the
National Socialists in Germany, but perhaps the author did not have
statistics on the relative number of deaths from the conflict
associated with them . . .
The article does not refer to recent deaths from Covid - as you are
aware this virus was built in China by scientists working for the USA
government; it got loose and came to infect capitalist Americans; they
were only able to save many lives by Donald Trump giving advice on
medication readily available in many households - a capitalist action
as it was reported that he had shares in a bleach company. While I do
not understand why you or David Harsanyi would leave out such
important information, it may be because the deaths clearly arise from
a capitalist trade between two countries, but also from that aspect of
capitalism that puts a priority for profit ahead of safety concerns .
Your mileage may differ, Tony, but as you appeared unable to identify
any truth in the article, I have endeavoured to help you.

To dismiss it in its entirety without evidence or any attempt at logic is a
real pity but not unexpected.
I don't think anyone was dismissing it in its entirety, but the links
to views that are now considered somewhat extremist are interesting.
Considered by you? Or someone with actual qualifications to do so?
