She apologised. Presumably not for believing it, but for saying it publicly.
Naturally such talk is not for the government bought and owned MSM.
So we see there is a difference between what journalists believe, and what they say in their MSM outlets.
O'Sullivan: "And I regret the use of the word bogus to describe you - even if what was intended to be in private. This is clearly not the case.
"Again, please accept my apology."
The only person to have marked herself bogus is egg-on-face O'Sullivan as she beats her hasty retreat.
The entire local MSM knows that of all journalists O'Sullivan should and would have known better, which only makes her lapse in judgement and the position she has put herself in even less tenable.
No one's fault but hers, and hers alone. And she knows it, hence her beseeching confession.
The lapse in judgement was purely sending it to the wrong destination. She said what she thought and apologised for sending it to the wrong recipients.
The only reason she's grovelling is self preservation and employment.
She has made amends while Hendy's acceptance couldn't have been more courteous or conciliatory. Honour restored. To paraphrase: "The dogs my well continue to bark, but the caravan has moved on".
The damage to Hendy's reputation sticks. He's modelling 90% fully vaxxed death rates well in excess double that being seen in the UK with it's 82% fully vaxxed population, despite far higher population density in the UK, massive use of crowded public transport and much larger super spreader events. Models can be tuned to say anything you want but empirical evidence cannot. Hendy's model looks silly but it was built to order for a silly customer.
What damage? On the contrary, Fran O'Sullivan, one of National's most
ardent media supporters has said that she was wrong. I note that
wherever you copied your comment from has given up with trying to use
Singapore to justify the criticism. If New Zealand did experience 7000
deaths we would still have a better experience than at least 50 other
countrie around the world, including the "Plan B"exemplar (remember
"Plan B"?) of Sweden.
New South Wales have only recently given up on an elimination
strategy, so they will not have yet experienced the full impact on
Read this for an example of how long just one case can take:
How would you feel about our hospitals being overrun, JohnO?
If you do not believe 7000 is the correct number that could be
incurred, how many deaths or "long Covid"cases or "long recovery in
hospital" cases are acceptable to you to gain the soprt of "Freedom"
that people in New South Wales and Victoria are experiencing?
